March No Spender Bender - Week 1 Update

What up y'all?

I've gone one full week without going super crazy with my spending. I'm actually super proud of myself. I am. I haven't gone to starbucks, ordered skip the dishes, or just buying stuff because I can.

Wins:

1) no starbucks. Seriously. This is a big deal for me.

2) made supper at home even though I wanted to order in.

3) Didn't go shopping because I need to escape my child when my husband is home.

Losses:

1) we did order pizza after a particularly stressful afternoon and my desire to cook was negative 103208

2) my husband bought me lulu lemon pants. (he says this doesn't really count since he put them on his credit card, but I'm still writing it here)

3) So other than the pizza order in, there was a few other food indiscretions (sorry nutritionist...). There was a candy situation at Ikea, as well as meatballs. And one night where I went out with a pal and had a $6 glass of wine (including tip).

So far so good. I'm trying to not go on amazon all the time, but I do from time to time to add things to the cart for when the month is over. If i'm still looking for them in a month, then I'll consider getting them. For now, I have to reflect on my habits. But I'm liking it!

It's a challenge to really be mindful with your spending. I challenge you to try it too!

Monday Must Haves - February Faves and One Giant Dislike

Hey Guys!  Let's talk Feb Faves! It was the last month before I went on my spender bender, so I'm sure I can talk about some stuff that I got.

1) Overalls! Lindsay got a super adorable pair from Sweet {Jolie} and sadly due to my giant powerlifter thighs, I had to get mine from The Gap. Is anyone else on this kick? Do you feel like a kid when wearing them? Does anyone still one strap them? I have so many questions about overalls. Let's talk about overalls!

2) Winners beauty department. Seriously, WHY SO GOOD WINNERS!? I could spend so many dollars there...and even debated getting a job there for the discount, until it turns out that their discount is only 10%...so not even worth it. If you want another skin care round up let me know!

3) Forever 21 sale department. Seriously, BOGO on total trendoid stuff that is cheap to begin with? Sign me up. I mean, don't go with a kid (which I did...) and go and dig. Then dig some more, then dig and dig, then dig. But if you have time, patience, and in some cases a sewing needle, you can get some seriously good deals. Online isn't as great as in store, so I would go check it out!

and now for my dislike...

Winter. WHY ARE YOU STILL OCCURRING?

I got so many cute sneaks that need to be worn, so this snow needs to GO AWAY.

That's all for this month guys! Stay tuned to check out how my spender bender is going!
